Itinerary - Cultural Gateway to India

Day 1 - Delhi

After arrival at Delhi airport, you will be received by our representative, who'll arrange transfer to one of our listed hotels. Check-in at the hotel. The day is to be spent resting in your hotel room. In the evening you have the option to explore the pulsating nightlife of Delhi. Enjoy a comfortable night stay at the hotel.

Day 2 - Delhi

Next morning after breakfast, embark on a city tour of Delhi. The major tourist attractions of Delhi include the Birla Mandir, Qutab Minar, Red Fort, India Gate, the Jama Masjid, Humanyun Tomb, and President's House. In the evening visit Red Fort to witness the impressive light and sound show. Night to be spent at the hotel.

Day 3 - Delhi- Khajuraho by Air

Post breakfast, leave for IGI Airport to take a flight to Khajuraho . Upon arrival, check-in at Hotel for freshen up.

Day 4 - Khajuraho - Agra via Jhansi

Today post Breakfast you will drive to Jhansi Railway Station to take a Train to Agra.

Up on your arrival at Taj city Agra, you will be greeted by IHPL Representative who will assist you to check in at hotel for an overnight Stay.

Day 5 - Agra Sightseeing

Post Breakfast drive to enjoy local Sightseeing of Taj City Agra.

Visit one of the most precious marvels of India, Taj Mahal. The majestic white marble mausoleum built by Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The tomb of Shah Jahan also finds its place in the mausoleum. Taj Mahal sits on the south bank of Yamuna River and is an honored UNESCO World Heritage Site. Catch the sunset view of this epitome of Mughal architecture which showcases the rich history of India.

Post lunch visit the Agra Fort. The great Mughal Emperor Akbar commissioned the construction of the Agra fort in 1565 A.D although additions were made till the time of his grandson Shahjahan. It stands at a distance of just 2 Kms from the majestic Taj Mahal, and is built in red sandstone.

Agra is famous for its inlay work on marble, and makes a good market for some beautiful arts and crafts which can be picked up as souvenirs and memorabilia.

Come back to Hotel for an overnight stay at Agra.

Day 6 - Agra - Jaipur

Post breakfast, leave for Jaipur by road. Upon arrival check-in at one our enlisted hotels. Later in the day explore the major tourist attractions of the city including the Jal Mahal, Jaigarh Fort, Central Museum and Birla Mandir. Spend the evening as to your liking. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7 - Jaipur

The next day begins with an excursion to the Amber Fort which is accompanied with the exciting joy ride on an elephant. The afternoon remains busy with the city tour featuring City Palace along with the Royal Observatory and Hawal Mahal. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8 - Jaipur - Jodhpur

Next day after breakfast, lead to Jodhpur. Jodhpur- "The Sun City". The city is bestowed with mesmerizing and scenic landscapes. The city is renowned as the Sun City since it features bright and sunny weather throughout the year. On reaching Jodhpur, check-in at one of our enlisted hotels. Post lunch visit the Government Museum and the beautiful Umed Garden. In the evening you may take a leisurely walk to the local market of Jodhpur. Retire for the night at the hotel.

Day 9 - Jodhpur

In the morning post breakfast, embark on full day excursion tour to the beautiful forts and palaces including the Mehrangarh fort, Umaid Bhavan Palace, Jaswant Thada and the Raj Ka Bag Palace.Early in the evening enjoy short safari to the villages of Bishnoi tribals to view their custom and cultures from close quarters. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 10 - Jodhpur - Udaipur

Post breakfast, drive straight to Udaipur- "Venice of the East". En route visit Ranakpur after visiting Ranakpur you will proceed to see the fort of Kumbhalgarh. On arrival, check-in at one of our enlisted hotels. Rest and relax for the day. In the evening enjoy boat ride at the Pichola Lake. Also visit the Lake Palace, one of the finest examples of architectural and cultural marvel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11 - Udaipur

Post breakfast, embark on a city tour of Udaipur. Visit some of Udaipur's major tourist hotspots covering the City Palace Museum, Sahelion Ki Bari, Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal, Folk Art Museum and Jagdish Temple. In the evening visit the City Palace on the banks of the Pichola lake along with the Monsoon Palace on the hill above that enhances the beauty of this magnificent city. Enjoy comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12 - Udaipur – Aurangabad

Start your day with an early breakfast, board a flight to Aurangabad from the Udaipur airport. As you reach Aurangabad, check-in at one of our listed hotels. In the evening take a leisurely walk to explore the surroundings. Spend night at the hotel in Aurangabad.

Day 13 - Aurangabad

Next morning after breakfast, get started for a guided tour to the World Heritage site of Ajanta and Ellora caves in the afternoon. These caves are located 30 kilometers away from the North West of the city. The caves showcase a strong spiritual connection with 5 caves dedicated to Jainism, 12 caves to Buddhism and 17 to Hinduism. Rest and relax enjoying an overnight stay at the hotel. The Ellora caves are the house of 34 monasteries. Also explore the area for the exclusive uninterrupted sequence of monuments. After the visit to these stunning caves return back to Aurangabad for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 14 - Aurangabad – Mumbai

In the morning, transfer to Aurangabad airport to board a flight to Mumbai. On reaching Mumbai, transfer to one of our listed hotels. Later in the day, move out on an excursion to the sightseeing of Mumbai. The major hotspots to visit include Prince of Wales Museum, Hanging Gardens, Juhu Beach, Gateway of India and Marine Drive etc. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 15 - Mumbai- Madurai by Air

Post breakfast you will drive to Mumbai Airport to take a flight to Madurai, the city famous for Meenakshi Temple. You will be assisted to check in at Hotel and get relax.

In the day explore Meenakshi Temple for intricate design and beauty. Later in the day enjoy an excursion to Rameswaram holy sea. In the afternoon, visit the Tirumala Palace and the Gandhi Museum. Spend overnight at Madurai hotel.

Day 16 - Madurai – Chettinad – Madurai

Next morning after breakfast, leave for Chettinad. The Chettinad is a major tourist spot dotted with temples, old palatial buildings, woodcraft, textiles and architecture. On reaching Chettinad, check-in at one of our listed hotels. After relaxing for a while, proceed to visit the huge country homes of the Chettiars one of the major tourist attraction of Chettinad. Also visit the Chettinad museum which showcases the traditional jewelry, textiles, utensils, and all other unique lifestyle products of the Chettiyars. In the evening return to Madurai for an overnight stay.

Day 17 - Madurai – Trichy

In the morning start for Trichy- the city located on the banks of river Kaveri. Enjoy full-day excursion to the famous Ranganath Temple. Also pay a visit to the temples at Jambukeshwar and Srirangam. Relax for the night the hotel in Trichy.

Day 18 - Trichy – Chennai

Next morning, post breakfast, board a train to Chennai from the Trichy railway station. On arrival at the Chennai railway station, meet our representative who'll guide you to one of our listed hotels. Check-in at the hotel. After resting for a while, embark on a sightseeing tour of Chennai. The major tourist attractions to visit include the Fort St. George, Kapaleeswar Temple and the National Art Gallery. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 19 - Chennai

After breakfast, proceed to visit the finest examples of ancient South Indian architecture - Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram temples. The major Kanchipuram tourist attractions include visits to the Kailasanthar Temple, Ekambareshwarar Temple, The Vardarajanperumal Temple and the Sakkiswarar Temple. While the Mahabalipuram, famous for its rock-cut shore temples. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 20 - Departure from Chennai

This is the end of the Tour and you will be escorted to Chennai Airport post Breakfast for your onward destination.
